It's not that Shen Qingqiu forgets that Luo Binghe isn't there. The guilt and grief pulse through him like Without A Cure: ignorable at times, debilitating at others, but always there in case he needs reminding. And of course his workload has increased now Luo Binghe isn't fielding most of it, and his home isn't pristine anymore, and his breakfast isn't as good, and —
And every night Shen Qingqiu stops outside Luo Binghe's room, listening to be sure that he's sleeping peacefully, that he's not hurt or frightened again. Because even now, a small part of him can't believe that they're both alone again.
