Just give me soap-opera style legacy magical girls

I suddenly desperately want someone to have written a Jojo-esque magical girl series, where you get to follow generations of magical girls as they inherit their mantles and save the world. I know that PreCure is long running and changes cast pretty regularly, but I don't know that it's all directly related. ... Also while looking this up, I found out that Glitter Force is actually a PreCure series with the name changed, so I'm suddenly confused. (I watched the first episode of it in the dub because it's on Netflix, and my main memory is of Lex looking at me in a very pained manner, as though to ask why I was doing this to both of us.)

So I guess my next research project is magical girls and whether someone has actually done the thing! I feel like someone MUST have, I just need to find out when.

(Also, there is a moorhen that keeps trying to sneak into the library I'm working at today, and I have absolutely no idea how to respond to this except for "Well, Professor Moorhen, did you bring your library card?)

I mean, I know there was Sailor Moon fanfic that did something like it and the She-Ra reboot looks like it's headed in a similar direction, but other than that I'm drawing a blank and now I desperately want it.
