HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! 2020 IS DEFEATED!

Rationally I know that most of the apocalypses that were going on in 2020 are going to continue into 2021, but I am taking the end of 2020 as a checkpoint and/or achievement, because LOOK, WE MADE IT! It's like when you're playing a dungeon crawler and you get to the room with the save point in. The dungeon is still there, but here is a point where you're allowed to breathe, sleep, and brace yourself for what comes next.

(... Have I just dated myself horribly? MAYBE.)

I'm not really doing goals for next year, considering *gestures at apocalypses* apart from "Don't knowingly infect people with covid" and "Be a better friend!" but I've... Also made a to-do list as long as my arm, signed up for getyourwordsout, and started using my reward stickers again? Hm. Conflicting claims there, I think. If it's any consolation, the latter quarter of 2020 had me going "How did I used to do ALL OF THESE THINGS?! Is this why people used to go 'SUSAN NO!' at me a lot? So maybe I have learned from my mistakes! Maybe I'm going to actually pull off the "Before adding one thing to your list, subtract two!" advice from my ADHD books! WE SHALL SEE.

(Also I would like to apologise to everyone who went SUSAN NO at me, I thought I understood at the time and I clearly did not. Thank you for looking out of me when I wasn't doing that!)

Anyway, I'm grateful for all of you, thank you for being here, and I hope 2021 is better than 2020! ♥ ♥ ♥

Do you ever just have an idea, and you suddenly don't care how anachronistic or impractical it is? Because huh, that jumped me. (Weirdly, I'm pretty sure I started the bare bones of this fic in 2019, so BEFORE I learned how to make stuffed animals myself. Life imitates art!)

... Honestly it's so nice starting off the new year by finishing a fic from the old one, it feels a lot less "Oh god, my first fic of the year and it's this?!"

In unrelated news: I've been scoping out the fic for Kingdom (the netflix one), and I feel very unfair in side-eying Crown Prince/Yeong-sin being the most popular ship, but CONSIDER THIS: MY TWO OT3S OF CROWN PRINCE/YEONG-SIN/SEO-BI OR YEONG-SIN/SEO-BI/CRUSHING UNSPOKEN GUILT. Like, I appreciate that my side-eye is probably baseless! It seems to be with Castlevania, where my OT3 is the most popular ship! AND YET.
