This is the first fic that has gone the full circuit of "Notebook -> Word document -> Post" in possibly years? Certainly the first one that has been more than 95% complete at every stage of the process. THIS FEELS WEIRD AND UNCOMFORTABLE.

(The 5% that wasn't complete was the ending and I am become sleep so it kinda - fizzles. I'm sorry. I might come back and fix it before I post it to AO3, but I can't even anymore. It feels very much like a story I would have written 2006, because it started off as one idea and mutated half way through and I'm sorry.)
