Franky was trying to hide the fact that he was bawling like a child, as though an arm across his eyes muffled his wails of "That's so sad!" Homura curled around her bandaged arm, staring at the ground and trying to stop her lips trembling. She could feel Luffy's gaze on her like a hand on her shoulder, but she - she couldn't meet his gaze.

Homura forced herself to her feet and took one step. She staggered, her shield arm dangling uselessly and her left leg dragging behind, but she didn't fall again. One more step. Another.

"I'm going to defeat Walpurgisnacht," she repeated, not sure whether she was speaking to Luffy or to herself. "Madoka won't have to fight it. I won't let anyone stop me."

"We're not going to stop you," Luffy said as she passed him. "We're coming with you."

"What?!"

Luffy bounced to his feet, his murderous glare transforming instantly into a smile that took over his entire face. "You can't beat it on your own, right? So we'll help you!"

Luffy hadn't been in previous loops, so she didn't know what would happen. But for the first time in too long, she felt hope.
