I'm getting SUCH a bad ending on this playthrough.

I think the hyper-specific problem I've having with everyone's reactions in part 6 is that it's skipping over a huge part of why Lopmon and Shuuji went so wrong. Everyone is going "Oh my god, my Digimon could snap and eat me at any time!" while ignoring the sheer amount of abuse it took to force Lopmon to that point. Lopmon took verbal, emotional, and physical abuse from Shuuji, constantly! And then Shuuji wished for Lopmon to become a terrifying monster who would destroy everything! It's not like Lopmon flipped out of fuckin nowhere, y'know? So Minoru's "How do we know you won't turn on us if we slip up" feels like it's erasing all of the abuse he saw with his own two eyes. Like. In what fucking universe is a slip-up the same as trying to beat your digimon to death with your bare hands. RIDDLE ME THAT, BATMAN.
... Rationally I know that traumatised teenagers aren't gonna make perfect decisions. Irrationally, I want someone to at least acknowledge what Lopmon went through at the hands of someone they was supposed to protect with their life! That's it! That's all I want!
