• FIORE IS SO GOOD AT HER JOB AND I'M GOING TO SPEND THIS ENTIRE EPISODE BEING ANGRY AT MEN ON HER BEHALF.


• Astolfo is SO excited at the idea of piloting a plane, which means that they should NOT be allowed to pilot a plane.

• Like, seriously, before this episode I just expected Caules to die as part of his narrative function. This was the episode where I actively started wishing for it.


• God I hate him. Choosing this moment to pick at her weaknesses. Deciding that caring about and remembering the sacrifices that got her through means she's unfit to be a mage. FUCK OFF INTO THE SEA YOU SHITEY CUNT.


• Like, we have had NO indication before this that Fiore had doubts about her position. She has been nothing but competent and assured the whole way through, and Caules has been a traitorous idiot who goes too far and doesn't think of the consequences. FUCK HIM.


• Seriously, I want him dead.


• WHY WOULD YOU NOT DECIDE TO HAVE THE FIGHT ON THE ONE FUCKING DAY THAT YOU ALL AGREED YOU HAD A CHANCE OF SURVIVING?!

• And Rider thinks this is hilarious, because of course they do.

  Saber is so upfront and blunt and perceptive, I love them. Like, even though they don't care, they're good at drilling down to the bits that SIEG cares about.


• "For a king to save his people, he can't show empathy." ... I think we learned so much about Mordred AND Arthur in one sentence. Especially because Mordred WANTS to be a good king.


• I love Saber's voice actor.

• I love how the scene where Jeanne asks Astolfo if they're in love with Sieg comes AFTER she sees them naked.

• And this is why I ship the four of them. Or sort of Jeanne/Sieg and Astolfo/Sieg and Leticia/Astolfo and it's all very complicated.


• This is the calm before the storm episode I know, I'm just annoyed at half of the relationship drama.


• Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey, Leticia is actually being let out to play!


• Caules LITERALLY DID THIS TO SIDELINE HIS SISTER AND STOP HER GOING TO THE HANGING GARDENS DESPITE HER BEING MORE COMPETENT THAN HIM IN EVERY WAY, I HATE HIM I HATE HIM I HATE HIM.


• IF ANYTHING, CAULES SHOULD BE THE ONE STAYING BEHIND BECAUSE HE'S THE ONE WITH THE MAGICAL CREST!

• I've just noticed that they've picked a spot for this scene that Fiore can't see over. Is this a metaphor – Ah, no, it's okay, there was actually a crenellation.


• (... NGL, I kinda like the idea of one-sided Fiore->Archer. But then again, I like the idea of a lot of relationships being one-sided pining and this doesn't mean I should get it.)

• NECRODAD AND SABER, HELLO MY TWO FAVOURITE PEOPLE IN THIS SHOW.


• Of course Necrodad can fix up a plane.


• Saber going to Necrodad to find out what he thinks a good king is is SO PRECIOUS AND I LOVE THEM BOTH. Especially because Mordred is suddenly realising that they never made a plan for AFTER they drew the sword from the stone.


• Necrodad picking apart their insecurities and giving them suggestions!


• And look at them actually scheming! And naming their plane! I LOVE THESE NERDS!


• Might need to stare intently at Lex until he tells me that there's a Fate spin-off that's just about Necrodad and Saber. I am a good Susan who deserves nice things.


• She still doesn't look right. Less like she's been broken in half, more like she's been broken in half and not put back together right.
