Guys... Did we have an episode that made sense?

(I would like it noted that I asked Lex when new episodes of "the bad show" came out and he knew EXACTLY what I meant. He SAYS it's because it's the only show we're watching together, but you and I know the truth.)

• ... We don't even see what he did, it just pans round and everyone is dead. Jesus Christ dude.


• RIN SHOWS UP ON A FLYING MOTORBIKE BECAUSE I WAS FUCKING RIGHT AND SHE IS THE MORE INTERESTING PROTAGONIST RUNNING AROUND A DYSTOPIA TRYING TO SOLVE THE PLOT, OH MY FUCKING GOD WHY CAN WE NEVER JUST HAVE A SHOW WHERE RIN IS THE PROTAGONIST! *flips table*


• I like that Saber does the proper princess carry, rather than the manly supporting-you-as-you-half-stagger.


• I swear that the protagonist is INFINITELY MORE INTERESTING when he's trying to come up with an answer to "What do you remember?" and his answer is "My daily life at school. The day I died." And it's ALL OF THESE CUTS OF WAYS THAT HE DID NOT DIE HERE. I am so intrigued by THAT story, because murder+timeloops is MY JAM. Come on show, gimme that, I've been good today.


• (Rin's outfit is very cyberpunk, maybe?)


• Okay, so... Shinji is unsurprisingly still a Master, but he's also the floor boss? I genuinely did not think Shinji had the brains to pull that off. He has managed to completely stall out the Holy Grail War by refusing to progress and taking the servants off everyone else, so there's no one to fight. Do I have that right? And SOMETHING ELSE has taken over the SE.RA.PH. program and is trying to bring down the moon-based supercomputer and its Holy Grail all on its own?


• ... I'm sorry, I am still stuck on THERE'S A SUPER COMPUTER ON THE MOON.


• ("I was dead at the time! On the moon! With Steve!")


• ARE THERE ACTUALLY ANY MASTERS LEFT OR ARE THEY ALL NPCS? I GENUINELY CAN'T TELL. They talk about it like there ARE other Masters, but also respond to things like they're the only three real people there?


• Rin, how many people are in this resistance. What is going on. Why can't you punch Shinji. You have a command seal left, you must be able to do SOMETHING. Unless beating Shinji without a proper servant means that she's the target for the next person to come through?


• Of course "go through the front" means "use an explosion as a distraction."


• Ugh, poor Rin having to do the "You go on ahead, I'll hold them off!" thing, even though she's the only competent person on that team. Also, "I can still use him," she says, starting to glow red. NOT SURE IF SHE IS USING HER MAGIC GEMS TO DO FUNKY THINGS OR IF SHE'S JUST ABSORBED ARCHER SOMEHOW, BUT I KNOW WHICH ONE I'M HOPING FOR.


• Uggggggggggggggggggggh Shinji pretending to be a decent person and the protagonist. I know this is a world setting where he PROBABLY didn't abuse or rape anyone, but also IT'S FUCKING SHINJI. Him crying on the floor and pretending to be a benevolent god is not convincing me.


• I feel vindicated in this by the fact that he straight up drowns the entire city so that his servant can bring her boat through. Sure hope we're right that there's no more Masters on this floor, because that's gonne be really bad for them.


• (I don't think we SAW any, did we? We saw no people but the named characters, only plates of hot food like this entire city is the Mary Celeste.)


• Also the image of all of those ghost children falling from the sky is really unsettling. Especially because you're supposed to be able to fall to other levels and work your way back up, aren't you?


• ... Was the other Servant AN ASTRONAUT?!


• Of course Rin fucking destroyed everything. ♥


• Rin is absolutely fine, I know my tropes.


• I'm intrigued by Saber's power, but yep, of course there's kissing. Blegh.


• FRANCIS DRAKE, OF FUCKING COURSE SHE'S FRANCIS DRAKE. I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU MANAGED TO PICK THAT OUT OF LITERALLY EVERY FAMOUS SAILOR THAT EVER EXISTED WHEN THERE IS LITERALLY NO INDICATOR IN ANY WAY THAT SHE'S FRANCIS DRAKE, BUT SURE. ... I'm mad that I'm interested in her as a Servant, to be honest. (Also, AS IF Shinji managed to get a competent Servant all on his own, part of his entire thing is that he's a piece of shit who can't even support a Servant on his own, that's literally why Sakura is there. ... Also Saber this is all on you, you're supposed to be able to recognise other servants.)


• SHE CAN LITERALLY SUMMON AN ARMADA ALL ARMED WITH LASER CANONS, I'M SO MAD THAT SABER WON THIS FIGHT. GERRAWAY WITH YOUR NONSENSE. Especially because she's so chill about the sword to the torso thing!


• Okay, so if the Servant dies, the Master dies too. That's... New... And bad... And different... Because in every other series if the Servant dies the Master has a chance to contract with someone else, and if the Master dies the Servant goes with them. (Except for Archer, who has the power of Fucking Cheating, by which I mean Independent Action, by which I mean Fucking Cheating.)


• SHINJI DOESN'T DESERVE PEOPLE BEING NICE TO HIM. ALSO YES SHE HAS BEEN DEFEATED DUDE, HER LEG HAS DISAPPEARED INTO AN ALTERNATE PLANE OF REALITY.

  SHINJI HOW DARE YOU TRY TO HAVE A COOL LAST LINE, YOU SHITEY RAPIST PIECE OF TRASH. Plus – is this acknowledgement of Angry McBlanderson as your enemy? Is it acknowledgement that this isn't the guy that you stabbed up? What are you even saying?
