Man, watching TV when it comes out is REALLY WEIRD. WHERE IS THE REST OF FATE/APOCRYPHA, GUYS, WHY CAN'T I MAINLINE IT ALL YET.

Okay, so, Fate/Apocrypha:

• SERIOUSLY IS THE HOMUNCULUS FAFNIR NOW, I HAVE CONCERNS


• Of course everyone showed up really quickly and together, OF COURSE, and Rider just... Goes with them. RIDER. HONEY. RIDER NO.


• (I legit thought that the torture she had to suffer was going to be SO MUCH WORSE, okay, because I have seen some Fate in my time and there's a Predatory Lesbian, and I was honestly relieved that it was "just" a red-hot spike through the hands. ._.


• The idea of Vlad the Impaler being "soft" in being willing to let people off with only one night of torture is baffling to me. I thought Vlad the Impaler were supposed to be the ones who ruled really efficiently when he wasn't murdering entire cities? (Was it him with the story about "Yes merchant, leave you wagon full of gold in the ciry square, no one will touch it!" or was that Gengis Khan?), and... Yeah, torturing your resources isn't a good plan!


• I hope they go with the original plan of giving Spartacus to ANYONE BUT MOUSTACHE GUY.


• ... I really like the point Jeanne made about the homunculi letting him go because they WANT HIM TO MAKE IT.


• AHA, the mystery of the fuck is going on with Jeanne is revealled! I did wonder why she was sharing a room that night, and it's straight up because she body-jacked someone.


• DOT DOT DOT.


• JEANNE YOU ARE THEORETICALLY THE NICE ONE, WHY HAVE YOU BODYJACKED A TEENAGE GIRL WHO THINKS THAT SHE'S HELPING GOD. I DON'T CARE THAT SHE'S TOTALLY IN A CORE RIGHT NOW AND ANY DAMAGE YOU TAKE ISN'T GONNA HAVE REPERCUSSIONS ON HER, THAT'S STILL BAD.


• Sieg and Jeanne discovering food together is so nice. ;__;


• Jeanne desperately lying to Sieg (OKAY I feel weird about that name) to say that he'll be FINE and doesn't have to fight anymore.


• THIS IS ALL TERRIBLE, OKAY, I HAVE A LOT OF EMOTIONS AND ALL OF THEM ARE SADNESS FOR SIEG.


• ... OH, the woman isn't Jack the Ripper's original Master? ... Oh.


• I find the way they shot the scenes with Jack the Ripper and her Master/Mother to be really effective. They're shot from a POV where it looks like they both have completely blank faces, and we don't see them move. The scene's shot like horror movie, cutting from one to the other, and when they move it's in the flashes between cuts.


• So uh


• That end scene of this episode


• Shiro with all of the non-Necrodad Maesters drugged in a room


• "The war is over now, so I'm going to need your command seals."


• NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NO WHO ALLOWED THIS MADNESS


• Okay, no one allowed it, I do get that, but also *quiet screaming continues*


• ... ON THE PLUS SIDE MAYBE NEXT EPISODE WILL HAVE NECRODAD IN IT *continues to nope backwards up a wall*

AND THEN WE WATCHED PRINCESS PRINCIPAL which was honestly happier but I still have an abundance of emotions about everything, so.

• No word of a lie, I am so confused by the split between the commonwealth and the kingdom that it takes me the first ten minutes to work out which side is which and "Oh, but don't they already have this tech, OH, it's the OTHER GUYS, they've worked it out backwards." SURE IS A GOOD THING I DON'T DO REVIEWS, NO WAIT.


• They're teaching Beatrice and Chise how to tail someone! That's ADORABLE!


• And of course they want a team name and Angé is trying to explain that this is a SERIOUS BUSINESS WITH SERIOUS PEOPLE (of course she is outvoted).


• ... Oh, we don't get to see Chise's intro! That's sad! She just... Shows up as someone who's been assigned to befriend the team and help to decide whether her family should support the Commonwealth or the Kingdom. ._. NO PRESSURE.


• I feel like leaving hollowed-out books at the library is not safe, god only knows who could pick them up, even in the most dull sections!


• Oh no, oh no they are still suspicious of the princess, this is gonna end badly. I just want everyone to be friends and no one to backstab anyone and I know I am watching the wrong genre of show for this, BUT STILL.


• Man, the princess is absolutely right when she says that she's a skeleton key.


• Chise looks so betrayed when she gets left behind, and I don't think Angé ever explains to her that it's because she's the one who can best keep the princess safe!


• ... Wait, wait seriously you have not!Queen Victoria there, having a discussion about marrying off the Princess in the middle of a fucking party?!


• I love it when we get to see the girls actually doing heists and spy things, this is ABSOLUTELY the content that I'm here for.


• ... Dorothy's solutions to everything is booze and seduction. SERIOUSLY DOROTHY YOU'RE NOT EVEN SUBTLE.


• I like how they do use everyone's talents for this one.


• WHY DO YOU EVEN HAVE A GIANT DEATH FAN WHAT IS THAT EVEN FOR?!


• Oh! The magic green goop releases particles and those.. trace where other particles have been? Where there were concentrations? I can follow the logic of this, okay.


• (Apparently shooting her magic orb doesn't actually damage it, just rattles it. SURE.)


• Yeeeessssssss chase sequences, this is the content I'm here for!


• ... Oh my god as if Angé just turned Beatrice's voice off


• Angé's dedication to making sure that the princess is safe and not near trouble. ._. And the princess climbing onto the bridge to force Angé's hand! ("If I come with you, you don't need to leave someone behind to guard me!")


• Okay, but this entire conversation hinges on Beatrice being so flustered that she wouldn't go with the princess and honestly.


• Charlotte talking about Angé being the girl she loved and I'm yelling at the laptop because oh my god


• OH MY GOD.


• And of course after that it turns out that the princess is STILL UNDER SUSPICION because her helping them once potential sabotage has been rumbled proves nothing, but OH MY GOD I am going to feel so sorry for Dorothy when this goes south and Angé has to choose between her duty and the princess, because Dorothy is straight up just going to get shot. ._.

I felt that way about Yuri On Ice! I joined in about halfway through its season and had to actually wait for the last episodes to come out????? So weird.
