Just ruined who goes first in Ticket to Ride though

Hey everyone! It's mine and Lex's anniversary next week (eleven years together, six years married!), so this weekend we ran away to York! ... The running was slightly compromised by the clutch on Lex's car giving up the ghost in a way that took out the brakes on Friday, but he's fine! We got the train instead!

The hotel felt super fancy because the rooms had a kitchenette thing in them for some reason. It was nice! It meant that we could have real food over the weekend instead of nothing but take-out. Lex cooked curries, I brought desserts, it was pretty great. We nested! We caught up on tv shows, because I keep falling asleep when we try to catch up on Fate/GO, and we went exploring York! ... We may or may not have stumbled into portalbookshop, by which I mean we definitely did, it was a fabulous time, I have so many books now. And Lex has the new Legend of the Five Rings sourcebook, so he's happy too! Oh, and I finally got the chance to boot up Disco Elysium, which is so far very surreal and cyberpunk, and I've only just realised that my disaster protagonist is stomping around a crime scene in only one shoe right now, whoops.

So yeah, it was a good weekend! Got to spend it bothering Lex and putting cool media in my eyes, excellent work everyone. ... Of course now I'm cream-crackered and not ready to go back into work tomorrow, but it was worth it!
