Homura has lost count of the loops she's gone through before she thinks to get rid of her glasses. It's habit by the end of the third loop after that; she wakes up in the hospital, she ensures that her heart is finally beating steadily, and then the world blurrier with the glasses on than off. She can't think why it took her so long.

("I like your glasses," Madoka says, perching them on her nose, giggling. "I think you look cool with them!" But that was a lifetime that never happened, and Homura's not sure she remembers it anyway.)
