spindizzy: Young Goku holding a candle. (Here comes a candle)
If anyone else is doing emergency admin due to Elon Musk apparently firing or laying off all of the staff that make twitter do weird things like "load tweets" and "comply with GDPR" I might have some helpful links!

This ports all of your follows/followers into a spreadsheet with their links, bio, and pinned tweets, which might help you find people later! It's most useful if your humans have actually included contact info in there, but it's a start. It's still experimental and being amended, but it works right now. If it turns my twitter into a russian bot farm, let me know.

This "dewey." [sic] chrome extension is supposed to let you back-up and organise your twitter bookmarks en masse. Apparently this was a function that some people already had, which – W H A T?! Anyway, I say "supposed to" because they turned off that feature until Monday! Turns out twitter being on fire isn't condusive to things like that. Individual bookmarking still works, but that's really not what I want it for.

The first thing I linked to, Unflwrs? Has added a very provisional "export your bookmarks" function since I first looked at it, so I'm giving it a go. It says it will only export "recent" bookmarks – for me that was 785 bookmarks, so not going far back at all. Pro: it will try to save art/vids for you so that you can still look at them if twitter goes down. Con: it doesn't save the links to the tweets themselves, just copies them, and doesn't tell you what tweet the media it downloaded goes with. I guess if I can be bothered at some point I'll see if I can match them up by the media numbers?

Anyway, I am open to more ideas! This is just what I've tried today.
