We got to episode 31 of The Untamed and we're fucking sobbing

Okay, the thing that is fucking me up about episode 31 is that the confrontation is the perfect storm of everyone's flaws. Swiss Cheese McGee is a genocidal cunt who wants an excuse to murder, and the cultivator clans as a culture are entirely okay with that when that gets them something they want. Peacock Dude is conflict-avoidant and somehow expects everyone to behave as he would. WWX's only defence is a good offence (and don't get me started on this because I will yell about this as a super flawed coping strategy against Madame Yu until I fall over, because if you're gonna get hit anyway you might as well fight!), and Wen Ning is so devoted that he willingly surrenders to being a knife. This sweet, kind, potato of a human being!

Like, masterfully done! Brilliant work everyone involved in the writing of this scene! I fucking hate it, oh my god by the end of that and the scene where Wen Qing says goodbye I was crying so hard that I couldn't read the subtitles. And the whole Wen clan goes! They know that the only thing waiting for them is death and they go anyway! And that clip of the Wen siblings smiling and holding hands in the credits? IT'S FROM THIS SCENE OH MY GOD.
