I keep threatening to write the Madoka Magica/FFX fusion AU because I have a mighty need for teenage magical-girl Auron being 100% done with everything. This isn't that, but it's the beginning of my stirring it around.
(I am trying to commit to finishing what I start - it'll help me get around windows that linger for three days without any progress.)
Please remind me that I want to get some Madoka Magica icons for all of these crack AUs I'm writing.

Sometimes, people want Auron to be a good example. She's a legend: longest-lived magical girl, fought a Walpurgnisnacht-class Witch and walked away. She doesn't need to say anything; she just looks at them out of her one good eye, takes off her sunglasses so everyone can get a good look at the scar twisting up the other side of her face. The daydreamers falter first - it's hard to gush when Auron's smirking. The fanatics want to, like something about her will rub off on them, but there's nothing there but bitterness and ice, the heroism they want long dead.
