Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain // Awakening
G | 100 words | Kain | Spoilers for the first five minutes of the game? | His first awakening is unpleasant.
He awakens in his grave, hellfire still burning in his memory, and rips the coffin lid in half in his haste to escape. He kneels on the floor of his crypt, gasping for air that he does not need, clawed hand pressed over a heart that does not beat.
(In another time, his lieutenants may dare to ask about his awakening, and he will lie to them.)
The trappings of his rank have been taken, his jewellery stolen. But his sword is in the coffin, cast aside in his haste to escape, and what purpose has he, if not vengeance?
