My brain has been on shuffle+loop for a WEEK
Thing I have learned this week: They Might be Giants and Nick Cave are all real! I didn't know that! I thought that someone made them up for a tv show or something, but no, apparently I was wrong!
- Instanbul (Not Constantinople) by They Might Be Giants — This is one of those songs that my brain latched onto so I looped it for legit THREE DAYS, augh. I blame this tiktok.
- Red Right Hand by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds — I still have no idea what this song is about, tbh, because somewhere along the line my brain lumped it in with His Face All Red, so obviously it's a horror story.
- Babylon by Five Seconds of Summer — I swear I used to listen to a more techno version of this, but google can't find it so I can't be sure.
- Hey Mario by Patent Pending — I've been playing a lot of Yoshi's Crafted World lately, and it turns out that when I play Mario adjacent games too much I get this stuck in my head. I blame
jilliferium for introducing it to me.
- Youngblood by Five Seconds of Summer — I listened to this song once, thought it was okay, and then woke up with it in my head the next day. Thanks brain!
- Feel it Still by Portugal — Going back to songs where I have no idea what's going on: this thing!
- Cthulhu by Grailknights — Who doesn't rock out to songs about cosmic horrors wrecking your ship?
