spindizzy: Sypha looking sceptical (Well)

Your dream stinks, I was talking to her.

I just had my first villager mention wanting to leave in Animal Crossing! Not like, in a bad way? It's Ozzie and he was just like "What if I go to new bug island and find NEW BUGS," and I'm here like "This is sad, but live your dreams you funky little bug lover."

(... I mean, after I frantically googled whether this meant I'd done something wrong!)

I'm glad he decided to leave BEFORE I started trying to futz with the town layout, because if he moved out after I finally got his house lined up I'd be quite irked. As it is, I really desperately want my island to have a thing that lets me get an aerial view, like my house does, because I WANT TO HAVE NICELY LINED-UP STREETS AND I CAN'T DO THAT BY EYE. Ugh. Maybe I need to embrace it and just start slapping houses down wherever. Hmm.

But yes, the only other things I have to report on the Animal Crossing front:
  • WHO KEEPS BRINGING SCORPIONS TO MY ISLAND AND CAN THEY STOP

  • I CAUGHT A WASP! I am a goddamn QUEEN. (NGL I used this guide for how to do it and now I can do tree-shaking runs before I start chopping wood? I guess?)

  • I started rearranging my house so that the craft/utilities room was in front and my bedroom at the back and got to the everything looks messier than it did before stage, just like when I tidy in real life!

  • Tidying my house is complicated by my AGGRESSIVELY HOARDING BUGS AND FISH in my storage because real talk when the bug-lizard and his partner (!?!?!) fish-beaver show up I am going turn them upside down and shake them until the bells fall out.

  • I have two (2) back-to-back TTRPG sessions today, one of which is a boss fight against a fucking flamethrowing swarm ghost that nearly killed the ranger's pet otter, so rearranging my house might be good keeping my hands busy work for that.
