spindizzy: (*jedi powers*)

I probably have more to say about this one, but I have forgotten most of it I'm afraid. (Lex managed to distract me by watching Doctor Who afterwards while I was trying to do a transcription, so my brain has glitched and rebooted to "Wow, that Missy lady is pretty and I have no idea what's going on but she threw the Master up against a wall and now I might ship it."

IN NON-SHIPPING NEWS: THIS THING.

  • Updated Servant chart:
Lancer (Black): Vlad the Impaler. Lancer (Red): Karna
Saber (Black): Siegfried. Saber (Red): Mordred.
Archer (Black): Chiron. Archer (Red): ????
Berserker (Black): Frankenstein. Berserker (Red): Spartacus.
Caster (Black): Avicebron. Caster (Red): Shakespeare.
Rider (Black): Astolfo. Rider (Red): ????
Assassin (Black): Jack the Ripper. Assassin (Red): Semiramis
    Ruler: Jeanne D'Arc

  • I know pretty much nothing about Karna, but Lex has pointed out that look, my usual "Saber and Lancer have a noble rivalry" dreams have come true. IT'S NOT THE SAAAAAAAAAME. But I guess it's fiiiine.

  • I don't know how I feel about Archer's Master's dream being "can walk AND keep doing magic." Like, it makes sense in character, I guess? But also is it a trope? I don't knooooooow. (Also they do specifically say "Oh, she can fix her legs at ANY TIME but if she does then she will lose her ability to do magic," so it's not just a "Well we have phenominal godlike powers on hand and twelve different people who've recovered from a paralysing spinal injury but Oracle has to stay in her wheelchair.")

  • Oh, Berseker's master is the brother that is going to die tragically to his own sister, especially because his primary concern is the sister who is going to stab him.

  • I am squinting at Berserker's storyline here, okay.

  • BUT WHY IS THERE PREDATORY LESBIAN, WHY.

  • Okay, Ruler stepping aside because she can't take part in the fight between Servants is INTERESTING. Especially because Douchebag McMoustache is SO MAD ABOUT IT.

  • And now she knows that people are trying to murder her! Sure don't know if there's gonna be any repercussions to that development.

  • Saber rolling around in the tomb going "AUGH CORPSES ARE BORING WHY ARE WE DOWN HEEEEEEEEEERE" is great. They are the best family.

  • Of course Necrodad has a skeleton fax machine. Of course.

  • What is even Berserker's backstory now and why. (Also I like how her Master's first thought on the whole "someone like me to love" thing was, like mine, "What about homunculi? Are they close enough?")

  • PREDICTION: Berserker's master gets dead, probably at the hand of his sister, Berserker brings him back.

  • I see that Astolfo is filling the the role of resident "servant who does whatever they want even though they know it's probably against their master's wishes," as Gilgamesh hasn't been summoned yet.

  • So dude has never walked before, but is capable of speech. SURE show.

  • Okay, I didn't realise that they were killing all of the homunculi as part of the testing process; this was grim before but now it's frankly nightmareish.

  • Chiron also going against the wishes of the mages is an interesting thing that I hadn't considered happening. HM.

  • But WHY is Spartacus a ten-foot tall grinning monstrosity of a man.

  • Siegfried's backstory is kind of heartbreaking here, especially because he doesn't appear to have a sorting algorithm for whose wishes get priority, it's just "Oh, if your desire can be fulfilled through murder, I can do that."

  • NECRODAD CALLING SABER "MY KING" OH FUCK I AM DEAD, HI, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE IT'S IN SUCH A SINCERE WAY AS OPPOSED TO THE SNEERING WAY DARNIC DOES IT OR THE TOADYING WAY THAT TOHSAKA SR DID.

  • *lies on floor twitching because oh god senpai noticed Mordred, please tell me they have a great familial relationship, I can't deal*

Yeah, I have no ships here yet, just anti-ships. Maybe I'm not well.
